| The above event turned out to be a highly successful night in which both the audience and the Band enjoyed. The Band would like to thank the organisers for the invitation to Gourock. |

| The Band was placed a rather disappointing 11th Place out of 18 in the Second section of the above contest. However, due to the Band's success in the previous Scottish Regional Championships, the Band has now been promoted to compete in the First Section of the forthcoming Scottish Championships in March. |

player Mhairi Holmer was awarded the senior soloist
prize and the band were placed 3rd overall with 184

| The Band emerged as winners of the 2nd section with a total of 192 points. Douglas Cameron also took the prize for Best Instrumentalist
after a beautiful rendition of My Love is Like a Red, Red Rose. The band
also took the prize Entertainment Prize making it a clean sweep of all the
prizes on offer at the contest. |
